The shortcut doesn’t open AssetHUD
Another app may already use it. The default is Ctrl Space on Windows and Option Space on Mac. Open AssetHUD from the tray or menu bar icon, go to Preferences and record a different shortcut.
Cutout edges look rough
Open Preferences and set Cutout quality to High precision. It keeps hair, fur and fine outlines. Fast is quicker but softer around the edges.
Search says I’ve reached my limit
Your monthly searches are used up. The profile menu shows when they reset. Icon search still works, and upgrading raises the limit right away.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen choose Forgot password. We email you a 6-digit code to set a new one. If you signed up with Google, just continue with Google.
Windows says it protected my PC
Choose More info, then Run anyway. Windows shows this for apps it hasn’t seen often yet.
My Mac says it can’t verify AssetHUD
Open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll down and choose Open Anyway next to AssetHUD. You only need to do this once.
Does it run on an Intel Mac?
Not yet. The Mac version is built for Apple silicon (M1 and newer). Choose Apple menu, then About This Mac, to see which chip you have.
An image won’t load or save
Some sites block downloads of their images. Try another result, or open the image in your browser and drop the file into AssetHUD.

What does AssetHUD run on?
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), and macOS 11 or later on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 and newer). The installer is about 200 MB, because the AI cutout models are built in.
Do I need an API key?
No. Sign in with Google or email and search right away. Searches go through our server, so you never paste a key into the app.
Does background removal upload my images?
No. The cutout models are built into the app and run on your computer, so cutouts work offline from the first launch.
How do updates work?
AssetHUD checks for a new version when it starts and every few hours. It downloads in the background and asks you to restart when it is ready.
Can I use the images I find?
Search results come from the web and belong to their owners. AssetHUD helps you find and prepare images. Check each image’s license before you use it in client or commercial work.

Cancel, switch plans, update your card or get invoices, with or without the app.
Manage billingWhen does my monthly usage reset?
On the same day each month as the day you picked your plan. Start on the 14th and your limits reset on the 14th. In a month without that day, they reset on its last day.
What happens when I reach a limit?
That feature pauses until your next reset and the app shows the reset date. Everything else keeps working, and upgrading raises the limit straight away.
Does loading more results count as another search?
No. Only a new search counts. Scrolling for more images on Pro and Max is free.
How do I cancel?
In AssetHUD, open the profile menu, choose Account, then Manage next to Subscription. That page also switches plans, updates your card and has your invoices. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Free.
Can I cancel without the app?
Yes. Open the Manage billing link on the Support page and sign in with the email you paid with.
How do I delete my account?
In AssetHUD, open the profile menu, choose Account, then Delete account. Any subscription is cancelled first, so you won’t be charged again. Images you saved stay on your computer.
Is there a yearly discount?
Yes. Pro is $99 a year instead of $120, and Max is $199 a year instead of $240.
